If the front tank is overflowing then the water would find its way up the door fill tube in the driver's door frame and pour out. The city water fill valve SHOULD be perpendicular to the pipe as shown in the photo of my 2011 190P BUT Roadtrek would change things year to year - and it is very possible that your valve has to be turned the other way. Try that and see. If this does not work look at our article - Summer Mode/Winter Mode and make sure your valves are set to summer mode - this will bring the water from the rear interior tank to the front tank and the water will then flow into the sink, etc. The rear tank empties into the front tank and the water goes from the front tank to the sink, showers, and toilet. Once the rear tank is empty is when you start to see the front tank emptying on the monitor panel. The other thing that you can try is use that same article to see how to isolate the front tank - so that only the rear tank is used. Fill the rear tank from the fill hole in the passenger cargo door frame and see what happens when you turn on the water pump. IF using city water the water pump is not used at all. The water should go from the hose into the RT pipes and into the plumbing directly. Now - it could be that the city water valve has broken - which can happen during a winter freeze and the RV antifreeze did not go into the city water valve (which is why I have a starting step in winterizing using a hand winterizing pump connected to the city water valve to put RV antifreeze into that valve. If you are going to replace the city water valve be aware that the pipe coming down to the city water hose connection has a backflow valve in it to prevent water from backing up back into the hose. You might want to take this all to an RV shop and troubleshoot this and have them decide if the valve needs to be replaced and have them do it. While most RV shops should be able to do this - a Roadtrek authorized shop will understand the two tank system and how they are connected together and interconnect with the city water fill. When hooked up the city water using a pressure regulator and turn the valve perpendicular to the line I have water coming from overflow in my front tank. I've turned every valve inside every way and still cannot stop the water from coming out of the fill opening. I read your comments above but I can't seem to fix this. Do I need to install a cut off valve going to the front tank? Please help. The valve stays in the same position for water flow to the plumbing. If you don't have a hose connected and running the valve still stays in that same position and you turn on the water pump to use the water from your fresh tanks. There are no dumb questions! When hooked to city water and city water fill vale is perpendicular (so it doesn't keep filling the water tank), do you need to use the 12-volt water pump, or does the <40 lb of city water pressure push the water out the various spigots? Thanks.RT Newbiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11202315416489444378noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8801217063323814316.post-39912893469589017742020-07-25T00:49:33.586-04:002020-07-25T00:49:33.586-04:00Yes, we have used city water. It really depends on...Yes, we have used city water. It really depends on the source of the water and you can tell right away turning on the spigot at a campground. If the water has a bad odor then I would not use it. We have only found one place like that in 9 years of traveling. And yes, we do sanitize the spigot. The usual way to sanitize the spigot is to mix beach (Clorox) and water in a spray bottle and spray the spigot all around the outside and also up into the inside. Then let it sit several minutes and then turn on the water and flush the bleach mixture out. We did this for awhile - but we found out (from Clorox when we contacted them) that after about four hours that mixture in the spray bottle turns to water with a bleach odor and little sanitizing properties. It is fine when you first mix it and use it but if you let the mix sit in the bottle it does nothing if you use it again. So we then started mixing small amounts and this became wasteful and a pain to do each time. We contacted Lysol and spoke to them about using for the same purpose right out of the can of Lysol Disinfectant Spray - especially with a water spigot that would supply drinking water. They said it can be used and is safe as long as after you spray it you wait ten minutes and then flush it out with running water - and then connect your fresh hose. And that is what we do. We carry a can of Lysol Disinfectant spray and before we connect a hose to the city water spigot, we give the inside and outside of the spigot a good spray with Lysol. No mixing and all it takes is getting out the can, using it, and putting the can away. A lot easier than measuring bleach and water.Writerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06664259206096691320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8801217063323814316.post-77994211449720829002020-07-25T00:17:26.998-04:002020-07-25T00:17:26.998-04:00Thanks again for another great article!
